Policies, in plain words
Booking and deposits
No deposit. Book on the booking page, or call (585) 555-0102. Send your referral before your first session; we hold the time while it comes in.
Canceling and running late
Please give 24 hours' notice to cancel or move a session, on the booking page or by phone. If you are ill, tell us as early as you can and we will move you. If you are running late, call: we shorten the session to the time left so the next client is not kept waiting.
If you miss an appointment
If you miss a session without telling us, we note it on your file and ask you to call before you book again. Your referral stays on file.
Children and companions
Sessions are for adults. A family member or friend is welcome to wait in the front room, and you can ask when you book if someone needs to come in with you.
If you're not happy
Tell us within a few days and we will make it right. We go over what happened with you and plan your next visit around it.
Tipping
Tipping is welcome and never expected. If you would like to leave one, add it on the booking page or tell us at the desk.
Undressing and draping
Undress to your comfort. A sheet covers you the whole session. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before we start we ask about pressure and any area to avoid. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.
Before your visit
Come a few minutes early to your first session and wear clothes you can move in. Bring your referral if you have it on paper, and any claim details. Tell us about a nut or fragrance allergy when you book; we can tell you which oil or lotion we use.
When to ask your doctor first
Your referral comes from your doctor or other provider, so they already know you are coming. If something changes, check with them before your next session. We do not diagnose, and we may suggest you ask your provider about something you tell us.
